Supply Chain Director (MNC based in Selangor)

Company Background:

Our client is an established multinational FMCG manufacturer, and they are currently looking for a Supply Chain Director to be based in Selangor.

Overall Job Purpose:

Lead and manage the Supply Chain function to ensure product availability, control, and optimize local inventory levels to meet business requirements, ensuring effective forecasting that guarantees reactivity to market demands. Competent to develop the supply chain model of forecasting mechanisms, S&OP process, and strategic replenishment planning.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee customers' requirements on time and quantity.
  • Manage the S&OP for the site to ensure industrial capacities reach the monthly forecast for the year in accordance with stock level targets.
  • Manage production planning to ensure planning meets the requirements determined on SKUs by categories, considering production constraints and batch optimization.
  • Ensure procurement for all raw/packaging materials, co-packed finished goods, and POS.
  • Manage sales forecasts, from global to detailed by SKU.
  • Ensure all new/modified products (finished goods or raw/pack materials) are accounted for to reach the launch/switch (lead-time and stock management).
  • Manage KPIs with the Supply Chain teams, peers, Director, and HQ.
  • Ensure stock control, obsolescence management, reliability, and inventories.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in any business field and other disciplines. APICS certification or related certification preferred.
  • More than 8 years of supply chain management hands-on experience in a multinational company related to a similar category.
  • Knowledge of the market, suppliers, cost drivers, process improvement, market trends, business model, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Knowledge of Project Management.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft applications and exposure to integrated ERP software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, communicate, and influence senior stakeholders, business partners, and cross-functional teams (internal & external).
  • Competent in material planning, import and export, FTA, 3PL & logistics.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work in Selangor.
