JOB DESCRIPTION

The Luxe Nomad/Nisade has a well-established and operating owner and property management division with a wide range of properties across Asia within its portfolio. Emerging from the pandemic and with a renewed sense of purpose with The Luxe Nomad's partnership, we are looking to drive Property Management and Owner & Guest Experience forward and truly challenge the status quo within the hospitality industry. We are seeking a practical and detail-oriented Financial Director to join us on this journey, supporting our financial operations and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial matters.

As the Financial Director, you will:

  1. Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring efficient financial practices and resource allocation.
  2. Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the finance team to streamline processes and ensure consistency.
  3. Produce accurate and timely end-of-month financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  4. Ensure compliance with all statutory processes, including audit, tax, and other regulatory requirements.
  5. Manage and oversee the financial systems of the organization.
  6. Provide sound financial assistance and information to management for them to make important business decisions. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  7. Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
  8. Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting to support the company's operational goals.
  9. Drive cost control and expense reduction strategies across the organization.
  10. Provide clear and effective communication of financial data and insights to non-financial stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Experience in financial management, preferably within the hospitality or property management industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Proficiency in financial software such as Microsoft Excel, XERO, and other accounting tools.
  4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  5. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to senior management and non-financial stakeholders.
  7. Professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., Bookkeeping, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
  8. Proficiency in Japanese with good English skills is highly desirable.
