At Nando's, our IT department is enabling seamless operations and empowering data-driven decision-making. We're looking for a talented and experienced IT Professional to join our team and play a key role in leading projects, optimizing data pipelines, and driving technical excellence.

What you'll do:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage team members, third-party suppliers, and project teams to achieve common goals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and productivity.
  • Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and coach team members to ensure success.

Project Management:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, scope, and execute business-enabling projects.
  • Define project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
  • Manage third-party vendors to ensure tasks, timelines, and budgets are adhered to.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for collecting, processing, and integrating large datasets.
  • Implement best practices to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability across data workflows.
  • Develop Python/SQL scripts for ETL processes, data cleansing, and real-time API integrations.

Database Management & Optimization:

  • Ensure databases are secure, high-performing, and highly available.
  • Optimize queries and indexing for efficient data retrieval and seamless integration.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and solution providers to assess feasibility and alignment of solutions.
  • Provide cross-functional support to integrate and maintain solutions that meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with technical teams across IT and network departments to deliver impactful results.

IT Testing & Implementation:

  • Participate in defining, testing, training, and implementing functional requirements.
  • Evaluate approaches for integrating cloud applications into enterprise systems.
  • Manage change requests and project requirements to ensure timely delivery within scope.

User Training & Application Support:

  • Provide guidance and support to end-users on software applications, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with software and hardware setup, optimizing user experience and addressing technical concerns.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in IT project management, data integration, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in database management, cloud computing (e.g., MS Azure), and programming (Python, SQL, Java, or Scala).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and third-party vendors.
  • Passion for leveraging data for decision-making and driving business outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Python, SQL, and Power BI (preferred).
  • Independent, self-starter, and a strong team player.
  • Polite, thoughtful, and friendly attitude with a focus on delivering results.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia for business correspondence.
