Overview

IDC has an open position supporting our Worldwide Quarterly PC Monitor Tracker, which tracks market share and growth rates of leading vendors in the PC monitor market, such as Samsung, Philips, Dell, and LG, among others. This role will work with multiple country teams across the Asia/Pacific region to quantify market demand and trends, and providing customers with analysis and forecasts for countries in the Asia region. If you like working in a team-based environment, have comfort in working with detailed numbers, and have an interest in personal technology hardware, this job is for you.

Responsibilities
  • Tracking, analyzing, and market sizing of the market on a regular (e.g. monthly, quarterly) basis
  • Data analysis including collection, entry, processing, and maintenance of databases for regional research programs
  • Coordination & collaboration with domain specialists within IDC on constructing reports and research at the sub-regional and regional levels
  • Report writing via consolidation of primary research conducted via interviews
  • Answer client inquiries and track client interactions in the IDC database
  • Participation in, or contributions to local or regional consulting projects
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably has market research background
  • Intermediate level in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Must be comfortable handling numbers
  • Good in multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal team and external clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Good spoken and written English, proficiency in a 2nd or 3rd language will be a plus
