About the JobStrategic Marketing Manager - Malaysia. A global leader in their field, this company is involved in the chemical manufacturing space. Their products are within the production of rubber latex for use in various industries. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to proactively recognize market potential at early stage, systematically structure information to manage the innovation pipeline and achieve growth for isoprene rubber latex and other company latex products.
  • Conduct market research and feasibility studies to analyse the viability of new market opportunities for existing products or existing/new market opportunities for new products. Collect, compile, verify and analyse market needs, incumbent technologies, barriers to entry, value chains, cost structures and other information about potential new markets, products and services. Derive pricing and Business Cases for making strategic innovation and operational decisions.
  • Collaborates with sales/marketing and R&D teams globally to explore technology that leverages the company unique process competences in the field of secondary rubber/polymer lattices.
  • Analyse, develop and drive new business development opportunities by conducing market research and feasibility studies that lead into adjacent markets or technologies which ultimately results in commercialization.
  • Facilitate market intelligence and conduct competitor analysis via different sources and validate growth opportunities by conducting deep research analysis to develop value proposition for global sales team.
  • Spearhead company brand initiatives, including managing a comprehensive marketing program across channels, including trade shows, events or customer events; Refresh marketing brochures and expand content of website.
  • Directly engage with potential new customers to develop new business with existing or new products or new applications of existing products.
  • Plan and execute new product launch, coordinate with global R&D and sales team to understand product key value proposition, provide training and prepare marketing presentations for the sales team.
  • Development of Annual Marketing plan and Annual Budget plan with good quality of raw data based on research insights and marketing strategy.
 Required skills:
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales & marketing, product management or equivalent. Experience in market research is a must.
  • Experience in latex products and/or dipped goods are advantageous.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business-to-business work in understanding and penetrating new market ideas, ensuring alignment to corporate strategy.
  • Strong influencing and collaborative skills to accomplish tasks, projects, and analytics.
  • Excellent quantitative analytical skills
 Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, science or engineering discipline required.
