**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**1. SUMMARY OF FUNCTION**
- The QAQC Technician for the EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) Trains Level 4 MRO Project is responsible for ensuring that all overhaul activities meet the highest quality standards. This role involves performing inspections, tests, and audits to verify compliance with technical specifications and industry standards. The QAQC Technician works closely with the overhaul team to identify and rectify quality issues, ensuring the reliability and safety of the EMU trains.

**2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY**

**Overall duties/ responsibilities**:
2.1 Quality Inspections and Testing
- 2.1.1 Conduct inspections of EMU trains and components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- 2.1.2 Perform various tests on electrical and mechanical systems to verify functionality and safety.
- 2.1.3 Use precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools to assess the quality of repairs and overhauls.

2.2 Process Audits and Compliance:

- 2.2.1 Conduct process audits to ensure adherence to overhaul procedures and quality standards.
- 2.2.2 Verify that all work is performed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry regulations.
- 2.2.3 Identify areas of non-compliance and work with the team to implement corrective measures.

2.3 Root cause Analysis and Corrective Action:

- 2.3.1 Investigate quality issue and perform root cause analysis.
- 2.3.2 Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- 2.3.3 Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and adjust as needed.

2.4 Documentation and Reporting:

- 2.4.1 Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and audit results.
- 2.4.2 Prepare and submit quality reports to management and relevant stakeholders.
- 2.4.3 Document any non-conformances and initiate corrective action.

2.5 Continuous improvement:

- 2.5.1 Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend changes to enhance quality.
- 2.5.2 Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality improvement projects.
- 2.5.3 Stay updated with industry best practices and incorporate them into QAQC processes.

2.6 collaboration and Communication:

- 2.6.1 Work closely with the overhaul team, engineers, and management to resolve quality issue.
- 2.6.2 Provide technical guidance and support to team members regarding quality standards and procedures.
- 2.6.3 Communicate quality findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.

2.7 Training and Development:

- 2.7.1 Assist in training team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- 2.7.2 Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
- 2.7.3 Participate i professional development activities to enhance QAQC skills and knowledge.

2.8 Compliance and Safety:

- 2.8.1 Ensure all QAQC activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- 2.8.2 Promote a safe working environment and participate in safety training programs.
- 2.8.3 Monitor compliance with environmental and health regulations.

2.9 Others:

- 2.9.1 To carry out any other duties/ tasks assigned whenever necessary.

**3. QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE**

3.1 Mandatory requirements
- 3.1.1 Certificate of any Engineering discipline from any recognized Institution.
- 3.1.2 Familiar with railways operational and engineering terms.
- 3.1.3 Deep technical understanding and capabilities in bogie structural component design.

3.2 Desirable requirements.
- 3.2.1 Independent, positive thinking and able to work as a team.

**4. COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS**

4.1 Familiarity with railway depot environments.

4.2 Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively interface with cross-functional teams.

4.3 Basic computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office.

4.4 Behavioral Skills: Creativity, self-motivation, goal-orientation, confidence, flexibility, adaptability to a fast-paced working environment, and the ability to work well with others to meet deadlines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
