Department Operations- LevelExperienced (Individual Contributor)- LocationMalaysia - Kuala LumpurThe Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis to address inquiries and requests from the internal teams related to policies and prohibited listings (E.g. Legal/ Government Relations)
- Conduct market research on Government acts and policies to identify stakeholders’ needs and market gaps
- Monitoring the platform to ensure the quality and the legitimacy of the listings, particularly in relation to tackling Prohibited Listings on the platform
- Design initiatives using analytical and conceptual problem-solving methodologies to improve the overall platform quality
- Responsible for managing projects from start to finish. Play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, and meet the specified goals and objectives
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage changes to ensure successful project completion
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and with stakeholders. Regularly keep all stakeholders informed of the progress, and achievement of the team
- Monitor the team's operational performance by collecting and analyzing the team's operational performance
- Provide relevant and timely reports on key metrics of the team. Present findings and outcomes to reporting manager and stakeholders in a structured manner.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns
- Flexible to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and timelines. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Other ad hoc tasks as needed

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree in any field is required coupled with 2-3 years of working experience in a strategy/ management consulting/ startup/ e-commerce role
- Structured, able to plan end-to-end execution of initiatives, and see through implementation of the initiative
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Good team player, positive attitude, and eager to learn
- Able to deliver quality work under tight deadline
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels and facilitate collaboration among team members
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
