Account Assistant

**NOTE: Experienced in using SQL Account System is COMPULSORY**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Provide insights and recommendations to management for improving financial performance and efficiency.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and prepare tax returns, including GST, corporate tax, and other statutory filings. Liaise with external tax advisors or authorities as necessary.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and prevent fraud or misappropriation of funds.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate external audits, including liaising with auditors, providing necessary documentation, and addressing audit findings or recommendations.
- Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations. Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting-related roles, with proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Experience with ERP systems is desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
