JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Graphic Designer Department: Business Development Reporting Line: Business Development Manager 1. Position Objective: To analyze and create visual communication materials for the company by having a deep understanding of visual marketing and communication and be able to implement styles of design and achieve the company’s objectives. 2. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: As a graphic designer you'll need to listen to clients and understand their needs before making design decisions. A graphic designer in Respack works on a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, newsletters, posters, product packaging and brochures, technical documentation, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity. You may need to manage more than one design brief at a time and typical activities include: a) Work closely with the business development and customer service team to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job. b) Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes. c) Developing design briefs. d) Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design besides improving existing designs. e) Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time f) Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to related parties g) Working with a range of media, including computer-aided design (CAD) and keeping up to date with emerging technologies h) Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work i) Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print j) Illustrating, photographing, image editing, digital marketing activities. k) Working as part of a team with company’s customers, external printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists 3. Skills and qualifications: Graphic Design Skills, Layout Skills, Creative Services, Customer Focus, Creativity, Flexibility, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Desktop Publishing Tools, Acute Vision, Handles Rejection. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines. 4. Performance measures and standards a) Marketing and promotional materials are up to date b) Delivering captivating and creative design solutions with time frame and budget c) Working relationship with team members d) Brand and market presence
