**Junior - Video Editor**

**Job Overview**

**Video editors select artistically appealing photographs and footages to accompany company’s requirement. Their duties include brainstorming creative concepts with editors, coordinating photography assignments, and obtaining copyright permissions. They may also work for newspapers or other publications that feature photography and ensure that overall day-to-day operations run smoothly. Video Editor is tasked with taking the raw footage shot by a film crew and director and turning it into the final product. This means following an outline, script or shot list and assembling the footage into one cohesive video or film. Often in video and film work, there are many camera angles and takes recorded.**

**Responsibilities**
- Assembling raw footage and transferring or uploading to a computer.
- Following scrip, outline or screenplay.
- Offline and online editing.
- Working closely with directors to present a final product that matches his or her vision.
- Improve video and sound quality using video software.
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software
- Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
- Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design
- Test graphics across various media
- Amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
- Editing and artfully positioning photographs to accompany texts.
- Submitting photographic designs for approval in a timely manner.
- Obtaining feedback from editorial teams and making relevant changes, when required.

**Salary**: RM2,500.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
