Functional
_(job responsibilities)_:
1. Compliance Regulatory & Advisory
- Assist Manager to coordinate all Horizon Scanning (policy documents, guidelines, regulations and/or publications by regulators/industry bodies) process for HLISB; pre-identification of stakeholders, ensure dissemination, impact assessment collation, drafting collated responses and getting internal approval(s) within stipulated timeline.
- Assist Manager to coordinate Compliance Breach Reporting & Key Risk Indicator; whether unique to HLISB or jointly with HLBB. This includes getting updates from relevant departments, compiling, drafting responses and getting internal approval(s) within stipulated timeline.
- Assist Manager in performing AML 3rd party checks (name screening and escalation to FCC for decision; where required) as and when required, coordinating RCGC/RCGC-i/BARMC/other Committee meeting’s submissions/updates, follow up on stakeholder’s responses and update tracker within timelines.
- Assist Manager in other regulatory related matters which includes providing advisory to HLISB stakeholders, communication with regulators/industry bodies (as and when required), and reviewing/updating relevant department’s SOP(s); within timelines.

2. Compliance Academy
- Assist Manager in preparing training slides for Business Unit Compliance Representatives (BUCR) Training & Meeting, preparing One-Point-Lesson (OPL) template monthly, preparing the quarterly C-Suite Compliance Awareness Message.
- Assist Manager in coordinating Weekly Huddles, OPL and all compliance trainings as tracked in HLISB Management Committee (coordinating & training preparations) including meetings.
- Assist in collating Weekly Huddles/Committee Key Learnings non-completions to BUCRs/Head of Departments
- Assist to liaise with Human Resources with regards to highlighted issue from staffs for attendances not recorded in Workday system

3. Compliance Assurance
- Assist Manager in ensuring all dissemination of communications and related documents to all departments in HLISB are done in timely manner.
- Assist Manager in monitoring, tracking and collating responses from Business Units for Compliance Assurance Programs including Compliance Self-Assessment & Compliance Independent Review.
- Assist Manager in regulatory compliance controls testing to ensure appropriate and adequate controls are put in place in managing compliance risks.
- Assist Manager in preparing the Compliance Independent Review Reports and reporting decks.
- Assist Manager in preparing Compliance Self
- Assessment templates in Microsoft Excel.
- Assist Manager in any other matters on Compliance Assurance exercise.
- Assist Manager in periodic risk control self-assessment testing.

4. Project/Special Assignment
- Manage/monitor the timelines
- Responsible for reports and reporting to management
- Responsible to collate responses from all relevant parties.
- Arrange discussions/meetings with relevant parties
- Track every progress of the milestone

Jobholder Requirements

Education/Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree (preferable in Law, Risk Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting or equivalent)

Experience
- Fresh Graduate, but any experience in banking/regulatory compliance/legal/audit/regulatory affairs would be an added advantage

Certification/Licensing Requirements
- N/A, but any relevant certification in banking/regulatory compliance/legal/audit/regulatory affairs would be an added advantage

Special Skills
- Good in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
- Good knowledge in banking related policies, regulations and laws in Malaysia
- Good inter-personal skills for stakeholders’ management
- Basic understanding and knowledge of internal control environment (i.e compliance, audit and risk management).
