What to Expect
- Tesla is looking for a Body Repair Field Technical Specialist to work on one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world. This position will involve providing Body Repair technical support to our Body Shop partners, working on both external and internal initiatives across EMEA. Expert working knowledge in frame equipment, welding, riveting, metal work, diagnostic systems and estimating platforms is required. This Body Repair Field Technical Specialist must be passionate about Body repair processes and achieving excellence in final fit. They must be a strong critical thinker with great fluency and understanding of body repair methods and challenges.

What You’ll Do
- Provide Body Repair Technical support within MY & SG Region.
- Provide in field collision specific support/coaching to Body Shop technicians on Tesla collision repair.
- Report trending/new/critical faults/concerns/issues to Engineering by providing them with high level diagnostic data
- Report training needs identified in the field and support training development where needed.
- Ensure that programs and processes are developed, assessed, communicated, and administered in compliance with Tesla’s objectives.
- Generate weekly reports based on information gathered while performing all responsibilities.
- Position may require presenting Tesla technology workshops to third parties including insurance partners.
- Ensure active promotion and continuous improvement of Tesla Body Repair Network technician activities.
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet project deadlines.
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools.
- Must be able to work independently in limited supervision environments.
- Comply with all Tesla safety rules, guidelines and standards.
- Understands and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring
- Certificate from Vocational School in collision repair, structural repair and panel discipline preferred
- Panel Master Technician - 10 years industry experience preferred. Tesla experience preferred
- Strong ability to be self-directed and work independently, with strong organization and documentation skills
- Proven coach and/or informal leader or supervisor experience
- Expert working knowledge in structural repair, panel alignment, frame bench platforms and tooling
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to follow instructions required
- Must be fluent in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Maintain and perform top level professional integrity and appearance as a Body Repair Field Technical Specialist.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the public
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally to perform duties
- Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record with at least 2 years of driving experience and insurable
