Position Name: Accountant

As an Accountant, you will be responsible to maintain the activities related to the GL module to ensure accurate recording of transactions, maintain balance sheet schedules, reconcile GL balances, ensure timely closing of GLs, prepare various reports for internal and external stakeholders as well as prepare various reconciliations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate, compile, analyse, and pass journal entries from authorised persons in each respective section.
- Manage GL accounting and reporting processes and drive process improvement activities.
- Manage GL closing activities in accordance with agreed timelines.
- Ensure timely submission of all reports to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with timelines.
- Ensure timely preparation of bank reconciliation, intercompany reconciliation, and other reconciliations while ensuring GL adjustments are made in a timely manner.
- Work closely with stakeholders in providing support for forecasting, budget preparations, and reporting.
- Be in charge of the compilation of tax information for tax submission purposes and prepare provisional income tax and deferred tax computations as well as revised tax estimates.
- Ensure process compliance to meet internal and external audit requirements while managing any discrepancies.
- Perform internal control testing and assist team leaders in reviewing testing performed by associates/specialists.
- Assist in compiling KPIs to ensure targets are achieved, highlight gaps to the team leader or manager, and recommend changes where appropriate.
- Attend to queries and handle issues resolution for complex issues.

**Job Requirements**
- Possess a minimum of three years of working experience in the relevant area of responsibility, preferably with some audit experience.
- Good command in both Bahasa Malaysia and English. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
- Has strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

**Salary**: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
