Job Summary
The role will specifically look at achieving product access goals, maximizing pricing and access opportunity by leading and work collaboratively with cross functional team while placing the patient at the center of any efforts and operating within AbbVie business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations. The successful incumbent will have strong strategic focus, business oriented, strong execution, and collaborative.

Core Job Responsibilities

1) Drive access to unlock government funding and optimize access in private market (45%)
- Drive strategy development and execution of formulary listing in government sector for new products and new indications of in-line products (35%)
- Lead the cross functional brand team to obtain formulary listing in MOH hospitals and to ensure successful execution.
- Formulate strategy and action to unlock recurrent government funding for supporting treatment continuum of alternative funding named patient cases.
- Drive evidence planning and generation (e.g. local economic data, budget impact analysis and value dossier localization) for supporting enlistment submission.
- External access stakeholder’s engagement for informing access strategy, shaping access decision as well as long term healthcare policy to create positive environment for AbbVie brands.
- To tailor and develop market access stakeholder specific strategy and value messages
- Drive partnership initiative with stakeholders and aim to broaden access of AbbVie products in Malaysia and Brunei
- Support IFT by education to obtain alternative funding approval in MOH hospitals and provides insights to internal stakeholders for alternative funding opportunities.
- Drive strategy and execution to optimise access in private market (10%)
- Formulate strategy and action to unlock insurance potentials.
- Provide insights for opportunities for contracting strategy with key accounts or private insurers.
- Support pricing and negotiation of contracting with private payer and providers, in coordination with other functions (e.g. BUMs/SM)

2) Tender management (30%)
- Lead, manage and coordinate all tenders and contracts for AbbVie Malaysia and Brunei.
- Evaluate tender risk and opportunities by scenario analysis to advise internal pricing decision and stakeholder engagement strategy.
- Lead brand team for negotiation with access and tendering stakeholders with tailored value proposition.
- Monitor environmental changes which impact contracting / tendering and develop strategies in response.

3) Integrated access strategy (IAS) and business planning (20%)
- Lead integrated access strategy (IAS) for core brands and pipeline products, and alignment with brand team.
- Strong mindset in profit and loss management to support pricing proposal
- Drive internal price approval and own pricing system management.
- Provide access expertise for portfolio planning in business long range plan.

4) Policy shaping: (5%)
- Participate in government affairs/policymaker’s discussion to shape favourable environment for AbbVie’s new products and market expansion of existing products.
- Engagement with identified patient advocacy group (PAG)
- Participate in industry association activities to collect market insights and to shape policy.

Key Stakeholders:
External: National and Local Pricing and Reimbursement Bodies, HTA Bodies, Industry Associations, Academic Associations
Internal: Management Teams, Brand Teams, SEA and Area Market Access team.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 5 years relevant Market Access, Sales and/or Marketing experience in pharmaceutical industry.
- A detailed understanding of the commercial principles underpinning the pharmaceutical market.
- Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
