**Job responsibilities**
- Managing a settlements team of more than 10 members
- Ensure an appropriate BAU operational governance framework is place
- Ensure all settlements are completed in a timely manner
- Establishing an excellent relationship with both internal and external clients
- Ensure key management metrics targets for the team are achieved
- Ensure all outstanding issues are reviewed and appropriately escalated in a timely manner
- Understand and ensure compliance with control and regulatory requirements
- Work with business and Technology group to prioritize the requirements by presenting the business case

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Hold a bachelor degree or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years working in a settlements operations environment within the banking industry
- Minimum 2 years of experience in managing over ten team members
- Applicants must hold a degree or equivalent
- Excellent relationship-building and time management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Capability to prioritise effectively
- Good team player and able to motivate a team
- Capacity to think laterally and understand the big picture
