**The Team**:
The European electricity team develops unique insight on the evolution of electricity markets across the region and thus sits at the core of the decarbonization and energy transition agenda, locally and globally.

**Responsibilities and Impact**:
By helping improve our modeling and data, the role help drive quantitative research about the evolution of the power and wider energy sector in Europe to a wide client base from across the energy value chain, helping them make informed decisions.

**Responsibilities include**:
Contribute to S&P Global Commodity Insight’s European power and energy analysis by helping deliver market leading quantitative analysis including power price and power supply projections (short and long-term)
Support and lead the development of our modelling tools and databases, and become the contact person for data related requests. Tasks include preparation of data to be input into our models; extraction and post-processing of data from our models; analysis of model results; presentation of the results to internal and external clients.
Support ad-hoc requests from clients.

**What We’re Looking For**:
**Basic Required Qualifications**:
1-3 years experience as a power / data analyst
An advanced degree in mathematics, engineering or quantitative economics.
Understanding of power / energy modeling tools (dispatch models, econometric analysis, etc.)
Ability to manipulate large, complex datasets and transform model results into clear, meaningful insight
Knowledge of SQL, Python and other data analysis tools

**Additional Preferred Qualifications**:
Experience in the European power market either in the industry or in an advisory capacity
Knowledge of several European languages
Knowledge of additional programming languages and data analysis tools such as PowerBI
