**Objectives of the Position**
- Understand business needs and provide best suited solutions on Compensation and benefits for specific assigned Country in the APAC region.
- Support respective countries assigned in the region in engaging with the stakeholders, from HRBPs to local HR C&B in Compensation matters including policies, proposals and providing guidance and consultation.
- Support in identifying process improvements and best practice in the C&B space and work with the HR Services team to ensure smooth implementation and engagement of best practice for respective countries.
**Main Tasks***
**Operational Excellence**
- Driving the annual process as well as other deliverables such as support/review of countries C&B policies when required.
- Drive the communication of policies and programs with respective country stakeholders while supporting local HR in other Countries in the same matter.
- Support Country HR to design a competitive compensation and benefits frameworks and programs as when needed.
- Perform competitive analysis of compensation & benefits and assist to develop compensation & benefits program and policies.
- Develop market competitive salary structures for APAC countries and ensure policies are in place to support annual review cycle.
- Handling of vendor relating to management of Compensation & Benefits, which includes supporting the responsibilities of insurance renewals and any other vendor engagement required for respective countries.
**Service Engagement**
- Play the advisory role to stakeholders on topics related to C&B including support Country HR to review/design compensation and benefits practices and guidelines ensure comply to BASF Corporate Rule Base, labor laws etc.
- Providing support by working closely with M&A projects on merger, acquisitions, divestitures, and labor management partnerships e.g. due diligence analysis, business requirement gatherings, compensation workings etc.
- Monitor and track external developments and changes in market practices and legislation which affect the HR climate and support business to manage changes proactively.
- Support the HRS C&B Expert team should there be an escalation of C&B matters that require clarification and further in
- depth engagement.

- Works autonomously within established procedures and practices; seeks guidance in the more complex aspects of the process.
- Contribute positively to a knowledge sharing environment through generously provide guidance and sharing knowledge with others. Guides and trains junior team members.
**Requirements**:
**Edu**c**a**t**i**o**n **:Relevant tertiary qualifications: Degree with HR focus as a bonus.
**W**o**r**k**in**g **E**x**pe**r**i**e**n**c**e**
- With 8 - 10 years of related HR working experiences in strategic Compensation & Benefits and experience in operational C&B area as well.
- Experience in relevant country statutory preferred
- Working knowledge around Rewards programs and system.
**T**e**c**hn**i**c**a**l & **P**r**o**f**e**ss**i**o**n**a**l **Knowledge**
- Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in language and culture of the supported country/location.
- Have an acceptable understanding of HR principals and/or Employee Laws of the supported country/location.
- Strong processing skills and analytical abilities
- Service mindset with strong interpersonal and communications skills.
**BASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre was established in 2005. Located in Kuala Lumpur, the regional service hub has approximately 1,100 employees and growing. Focused on being a competency and digitalization driven hub, it also provides quality functional and know-how services in the areas of finance, controlling, human resources, real estate and facilities management, communications, environmental, health and safety, procurement, import-export order management, and information services to BASF companies and affiliates in the Asia Pacific region. BASF also has two other regional hubs located in Berlin, Germany, and Montevideo, Uruguay that cover the Europe and Americas regions.
