Repaired and services all mechanical and electrical equipment and responsible for laundry and kitchen equipment, pump, compressor, fans, air-conditioning equipment, chiller, cooling towers, cold room, sound system, audio visual equipment, electrical installations, fire alarm systems, fridges, drainage, sewerage system, clearing blockages and painting.
- Repairs and services all mechanical and electrical equipment in the guest room : furniture, ceiling, tiles, wallpaper, carpet, locks, curtain rails, door hinges, door closers etc.
- Repairs replaces sanitary fittings, toilet bowls, valves etc.
- Carries out daily check on all mechanical and electrical installations to ensure that they are in good working order.
- Makes daily checks on temperatures, leakage, drip pan condensation, panels and switching, chiller and freezer, recording the details in the log book.
- Assists in the carrying out of regular testing of the generators and the fire alarm systems.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the emergency generator, generator batteries as well as for the cleanliness of the machine and its surrounding area.
- Services and maintains the drainage system and responsible for clearing blockages.
- Assists in the shutdown of the plants floor and outlets.
- Maintains all engineering tools and workshop equipment.
- Records meter readings in order to maintain of calculate the daily energy consumption levels for cost control exercises and identification of faulty or non-efficient performing equipment.
- Ensures that the water filters and swimming pool filters are cleaned and back washed.
- Conduct regular checks of lubricating oil level, oil pumps, fuel pumps, oil heaters, air filters, terminals, starters and others accessories.
- Conducts regular checks on all batteries for distilled water levels, voltage, correct charging current and terminal connections.
- Must be knowledgeable and be able to identify all electrical installation types and locations in the hotel premises.
- To have a working knowledge of the in-house MATV system, DMI and telephone system.
- Is conversant with the power requirements for all individual equipment in the hotel.
- Is able to identify all locations types of air conditioning units in the hotel.
- Makes daily checks on the switching for internal / external light, all outlets, guest floor and public areas.
- Records all completed job assignment and spare parts utilized, making recommendations (when applicable) on the job maintenance sheet and to submit all reports on the same day.
- Maintains records and files of all daily, weekly and monthly check lists.
- Assists the storekeeper in the up-keep of store inventories, receiving and control of store items.
- Participates actively in all fire drills must be well versed with evacuation procedures.
- Attends training courses and meeting whenever required.
- Carries out shift duties, split shifts or when called upon to assume the duties of a colleague of the same level who is absent due to illness or away on holiday, or as called upon to do so from time to time as directed by Management.
- Has a clear understanding of all policies and procedures of the Engineering department and of the hotel.
- Able to work closely with all engineering personnel and those of other departments.

**Salary**: RM2,200.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
