Fleet Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- **Operations**_
- Lead and manage the entire land transportation which comprises of Car Carriers.
- Plan, organize and manage job scopes of subordinates to ensure that the tasks are accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
- Sets performance metrics/KPIs for staff within the Transport Division. Performance metrics should be monitored on weekly basis and reviewed/discussed with GM/MD on monthly basis.
- Support Management by providing inputs/suggestions for all strategic processes.
- Plan, implement and enforce operational| savings to transportation services such as reducing routes, optimizing capacities, employing alternate modes of transportations, and minimizing idling.
- Track deviations to return of Delivery Notes and act accordingly to ensure that SOPs are followed by Operations Departments and Driver Management Department.
- Ensure Delivery Notes which are returned by trailer/truck driver /MBCs are keyed into Transport Management Systems within the deadline until Auto E-DN functions on live 100%.
- Assist to plan, implement, and lead continuous quality improvements process in operations.
- Ensure that all trucks achieved minimum 1.5 loads (AT) and 2 loads (Rigid) per day.
- Ensure that all loads assigned are 100% efficiently picked up From bookings and executed in a timely manner for delivery based on customer’s and company’s set of KPl’s as approved from time to time.
- No study the current SOPs of Customer bookings/orders and Driver load assignment in TMS/Delivery (ablet and follow through with planning, implementation, and enforcement of the new SOPs.
- Prepare Monthly Performance Report (MPR) for the Transport Operations Department, identify challenges and implementing processes to overcome it.
- Ensure that bus software is utilized fully (100%).
- **Driver Management**_
- Establish excellent rapport with truck/ trailer driver /MBCs and Driver Management
- Department (DMD) staffs in order to obtain their buying in during administration of new policies and procedures.
- Coach and guide DMD to plan, develop, implement, and enforce a scorecard for truck/trailer driver/MBCs.
- Ensure appropriate actions are taken on truck/trailer driver /MBCs involving GPS compliances such as idling, speeding, harsh braking, harsh acceleration, accidents/incidents negligence and work on counter measure to achieve zero case.
- Monitor and ensure that truck/trailer driver /MBCs are using RFID devise and new driver app fully (100%).
- Review investigations to determine root causes of transportation accidents/incidents, coordinate quality improvement activities and/or improve transport safety procedures.
- Be a part of the Review Committee to review accidents/incidents involving truck/trailer driver /MBCs and ensure quality report and actions for improvements done by DMD within a given timeframe.
- **Requirements**_
- Experience 5 years and above in transportation sector
- Good technical knowledge & expertise in fleet management
- Has experienced in preparing technical manuals, using charts & planning work procedures
- To be based in East Malaysia - Sarawak (mobile Bintulu & Kuching)
- Manage 20 -30 driver and staffs
