BPD offers a wide range of laboratory diagnostic services covering routine and specialized testing, including biochemistry analysis, immunology, serology, urinalysis, blood bank, haematology, and molecular diagnostics. Referrals are received from private practitioners, hospitals, and other healthcare organizations in Peninsular Malaysia. Our mission is to provide creditable and cutting-edge diagnostic services to empower proper healthcare through precision medicine and scientific wellness.

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and developing strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.

**Responsibilities**:

- Research and identify potential business opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, and growth areas, that align with the company's strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers, to promote collaboration and drive business growth.
- Lead the development and execution of business development strategies, including sales tactics, marketing initiatives, and product/service offerings, to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients, effectively communicating the value proposition of our products and services.
- Negotiate and close business deals, contracts, and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations, to align business development efforts with overall company objectives and priorities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and participate in business development activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Requirement of **Degree in Biomedicine Science **OR relevant **Biotechnology background**.
- Must be a citizen/resident of Malaysia
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and close business opportunities, resulting in revenue growth and market expansion.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective business development plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to drive successful outcomes in business negotiations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of specialty areas such as prenatal genetics, cancer genetics, or pediatric genetics.
- Proficiency in additional languages (Malay, Chinese etc).
