**Responsibilities**:

- Building and executing an AI/ML and Big Data Strategy and roadmap across all Sunway businesses and functions
- Working closely with Sunway businesses to ensure that the insights created from the AI/ML models are effectively translated into action that creates business impact.
- Providing first class machine learning and strategic input to projects and ongoing operations; leading thinking and strategic planning for design, implementation and direction of AI/ML initiatives and able to get business leaders excited based on the ability to drive business impact using AI/ML strategies.
- Driving internal awareness and strategy for adoption of emerging machine learning and big data methodologies through the execution of an effective communication plan.
- Providing analytics leadership, advisory and direction across Sunway Businesses that embarks on designing, building and deploying new digital capabilities
- Building and maintaining an effective and impactful external network to drive the continued evolution in AI/ML competencies through learning and partnering.
- To continuously improve and maintain the existing consolidated Big Data platform, whilst driving adoption and business values across all Sunway businesses
- Understand working in a compliance based and regulated environment, including building, deploying, and supporting secure software throughout the AI/ML and Big Data development life cycle.

**To be successful in this role, you will need to have**:

- A degree in Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience
- Proven track record demonstrating the ability to work with business and digital teams, to understand the key strategy, design relevant and effective AI/ML/predictive models that deliver significant business impact
- Good understanding of a programming language such as Python or R
- Experience with at least one Deep Learning framework such as TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Experience with data modeling and data exploration tools, including expertise in the use of scientific computing and data management packages is required.
- A self-starter who is self-motivated, disciplined, self-assured, performance driven and passionate about digital, AI, ML and data and its role in transforming businesses
- Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
