Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Quality Control:
Examine wood materials for defects such as knots, stains, decay, splits, and other irregularities.

Determine the grade, size, and quality of wood based on established standards.

Ensure that materials meet the requirements for strength, appearance, and other relevant parameters.

Use tools such as moisture meters, gauges, and magnifying glasses to assess wood quality.

Reporting:
Document inspection findings, including any deviations or discrepancies.

Provide timely feedback to the procurement and production teams.

Make recommendations for material acceptance or rejection.

Operational Support:
Work closely with the storage and handling team to ensure proper care of wood materials.

Assist in calibrating and maintaining inspection tools and equipment.

Train and guide junior inspectors or new staff on inspection processes.

Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on the latest industry standards and best practices related to wood and materials inspection.

Attend workshops, seminars, or courses to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in Forestry, Wood Science, or a related field is a plus.

Prior experience in wood inspection or a related field.

Knowledge of different wood types, grades, and industry standards.

Proficient with inspection tools and techniques.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and inspect materials for prolonged periods.

Ability to lift and handle wood samples and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.

Good visual acuity and manual dexterity.

**Salary**: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Performance bonus
