We are looking for a passionate HSEQ Manager, Marine Personnel who will be working with Wilhelmsen Ship Management, a comprehensive global maritime group providing over half of the merchant fleet with essential products and services, along with supplying crew and technical management to the largest and most complex vessels ever to sail.

With a pool of more than 9,200 seafarers and over 500 shore-based employees all over the world, Wilhelmsen Ship Management is one of world’s largest third-party ship managers with a portfolio of more than 450 vessels and counting.

The position will be located at 1 Sentral, KL Sentral and it is easy to get to by public transportation.

Main responsibilities

Safety Management
- Responsible for maintaining and developing new crewing procedure’s in GIMS
- Assist Manning Offices in developing internal QA processes if needed.
- Follow up on usage an compliance with crew personnel system CMS
- Provide input to the corrective and preventive action process of internal and external audit/vetting findings

related to marine personnel
- Liaise with Flag and Class on Safety issues and submit any required safety information related to marine

personnel.

Documentation
- Represent WMP as a member of the Document Committee (DC)
- Receive, collate and send out to the DC all suggestions for improvement and updating of documentation
- Make suggestions to the DC for documentation improvement based on study of undesired events, near

misses and other events related to marine personnel

Audits
- Monitor and review outcome of external audits by Class/Flag related to Manning Offices.
- Perform internal audits of all manning agents connected to WSM
- Perform occasional shipboard safety audits and training.
- Review of vendor audit’s and other supply chain control activities carried out by the Manning Offices

(example Training Centre’s, Medical Clinics, etc.)
- Statistics
- Maintain safety and environmental statistics as required for the monitoring of fulfilment of the Company's KPIs

and of Client requirements related to Marine Personnel.

Certification
- Be the custodian and monitor validity of all certificates (copies) received by the Manning Office’s and IMTC

for any accreditation by authorities, classification societies, etc.

Information Management
- Formulate and adhere to a system to keep the Organisation updated, to the greatest extent possible on

crewing related matters:

- New international maritime related rules and regulations affecting the fleet,
- Flag specific rules and regulations,
- Local national regulations
- Requirements of class societies and other major maritime players such as Oil Majors
- New safety products and processes as applicable to the fleet
- Significant undesired event studies by expert bodies

Accountabilities

The position will be measured against:

- Improving safety, quality, health and environmental performance.
- Improving internal and external audit, vetting and port state control performance.
- Improving documentation and procedures.
- Having up to date statistics at all times.
- Effective interaction within the Manning Network.

**Qualifications**:

- Maritime qualifications/higher education, crewing experience, preferably with seagoing experience
- In-depth knowledge of rules, regulations and industry standards related to crewing
- Working experience with HSEQ
- Good command of oral and written English.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills in order to develop close relationships with shipboard staff, vessel owners,

charterers and auditing and inspecting bodies.
- Internal ISM/ISO Auditor
