**The Company**

We are partnering with one of the top 10 global logistics and transportation service provider who has extensive market presence across the globe.

Reporting to the Director, Central Region and matrix reporting to Cluster Project Director, the Manager, Project Logistics is responsible for the country projects product P&L, defines and executes the local project strategy in line with regional and global objectives. The Manager, Project Logistics will be working closely with other products/functions within the country and group projects team.

**The role**
- Drive implementation of the Global Projects strategy within the country.
- Ownership of all Projects actions and initiatives in the Country, aligned with the Regional and Global Projects Strategy.
- Manage the Country Projects teams and report to the Cluster Director Projects.
- Driving change management within the Projects organization of the Country.
- Identify talent and develop skilled manpower to meet the demand for efficiency and professionalism and for succession planning.
- Drive change management, develop and implement initiatives to grow the local market with Country/function teams.
- Provide support for rolling monthly forecast estimates and support all Project initiatives within the country as requested by Regional or Corporate functions.
- Act as the product expert in the solution design process and in-service delivery issues
- Qualifying country RFQ and take part in the decision on which business to pursue.
- Attend customer meetings when required and ensure retention of country accounts.
- Increase revenue from local fee-based services (e.g., local charges, customs clearance)
- Provide pricing support to Tender Management, consolidation opportunities and network constraints.
- Define competitive rates and ensure selling rates are updated and confirmed in the central rate repository (where applicable).
- Ensure operational excellence to meet customer requirements and continuous improvement of business unit operations.
- Manage the Country Projects P&L and operations to ensure productivity and profitability, and compliance with Forwarding Order Policy.
- Monitor and improve operational performance, including subcontractors, productivity, quality of service, data, and incident handling.
- Evaluate and monitor operational risk, ensure contingency planning, and implement corrective actions.
- Negotiate agreements with subcontractors on country level in accordance with global standards, arrange regular review meetings and provide minutes to the management.
- Monitor, control and consolidate performance feedback for monthly review meetings.
- Analyze cargo flows / cargo mix / consolidation benefits to increase Country profitability.
- Compliance to global subcontractor management policies.
- Introduce new products and tools inline with global standard and policies
- Keep abreast of industry changes and local market situation and propose new products and services to create new revenue streams.

**The Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree I Business Administration/Economics/Logistics or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in shipping / freight forwarding / Projects and/or Oil & gas industry.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in people management and leadership, including recruitment, training & development, coaching, conflict, and performance management.
- International working experience is required.
- Good ability to translate strategy into operational roadmaps, deploying resources efficiently while pushing for results.
- Ability to take complex decisions and be accountable.
- Possess strong leadership qualities including visioning, nurturing, advising, coaching, motivating and empowering others in a matrix organisation.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to influence and good negotiation skills.
- Focus on customer service as a core value, increase operational efficiencies and maintain high standard of quality in retaining and improving customer relationship.
- Has an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to understand commercial opportunities.
- Work under pressure and deal with tight deadlines with high energy and resilience.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, effective communication skills and strong presentation skills

Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
