We are now looking for a Manager, Packaging Solutions, POD & Linerless, SEA. This position will be located in Malaysia.

What you will do

POD
- Understand business landscape of POD in SEA
- Establish network and regular engagement with key POD OEMs and VARs in SEA
- Understand how OEMs work locally and their needs on media, and contributes to mapping development of OEMs, VARs and POD converters* in SEA. [*with support from sales team]
- Provide updated intelligence from OEMs, VARs and POD converters* actively to SBUs for development of product & service offer that support POD growth in SEA. [*with support from sales team]
- Develop “tested/approved material list” for SEA with key POD OEMs by leveraging knowledge and existing specifications from other regions with the support of SBUs
- Provides and manages POD opportunity pipeline in SEA
- Achieve high level of “closed won” rate opportunities
- Develop mapping of OEM and VARs in SEA
- Understand requirements of OEMs and VARs on products & services
- Identify and develop converter partners for each country with the support from Sales teams
- Support Country Managers on coordination of country’s POD plans and KPIs

Linerless
- Identify and initiate contact with potential and current end-users to generate and qualify leads, promote UPM’s linerless solutions and identify sales opportunities
- Plan and lead end-user meetings (calls, virtual, face-to-face) according to the target list
- Achieve sales and profitability with the targets for the given end-users
- Manage end-user portfolio to deliver the required level of sales growth and profitability
- Actively involve relevant parts of the organization, including Sales, SBU teams and Technical Service, to support in end user and customer activities
- Provide market and business intelligence on end user activity, information and requirement, competitor information and actions
- Provide product consultancy and training upon end users’ needs
- Provide end user account plans and drive the delivery of the actions to develop end users’ business

Who you are
- University degree in relevant field, min 5 years of experience in a similar role or field
- Relevant commercial degree/education and technical understanding of complex products
- Experience or knowledge of the POD and DT linerless technology and market is required
- Fluent in English, both oral and writing. Ability to converse well in local languages would be a differentiation.
- Knowledge of packaging and labelling in specific end use area
- Proven track record in sales or business development, ideally in B-to-B environment
