**Job Brief**

Port Klang Cruise Terminal ("PKCT") is currently seeking to fill a contract term Manager, Project Management who will be responsible for overall supervision of the construction activities of wharf and associated work with construction works including piling works, yard, fence, and road pavements including demolition/relocation of existing facilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with consultants, engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project;
- Collaborate with Local Authorities to obtain all necessary permits and license;
- Participate and/or drive design development, tendering process, evaluation and proposals for approval by appropriate key stakeholders;
- Supervise construction on wharf and open yard projects and provide quality assurance that completed work is in compliance with the plans and specifications;
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to the project;
- Act as point of contact and coordinate directly with consultant or main contractor and negotiate change orders;
- Monitor progress against accepted construction schedule and review the Contractor’s progress reports. Assess the progress and inform the Management and key stakeholders in case of delay;
- Direct, assist and monitor the performance of Construction Inspection and Contractor Engineering staff;
- Oversee field site activities and provide technical advice on construction and design;
- Discuss deviations from specified construction materials and procedures with consultant and main contractor;
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including Management and key stakeholders;
- Participate in contract close-out activities;
- Conduct regular progress meetings with the contractor and appropriate personnel and report on any issues, as necessary;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Required**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience as a civil engineer, of which at least 2 years in supervision of works similar in nature to works in civil contract and geotechnical OR 4 years in supervision and/or construction of viaduct structure and marine pier works.
- Registered as Professional Engineer with Board of Engineer Malaysia or Regulatory Body of other country will be an advantage.
- Possess PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents and construction plans and specifications.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage project team members. Must be very organized and have effective problem solving, leadership and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects/deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
