As a Senior Content Writer at RinggitPlus, you don’t believe in stereotypical blurbs like “make finance fun”, but rather understand that your work can change lives. From the fresh graduate learning to file their taxes to the recently retired looking to stretch their retirement savings, you can leave a lasting impact on the current and future generation of Malaysians - and we say this from experience.

You’ll be focusing mainly on news, guides, and long-form articles on the ins and outs of personal finance. You may also be tasked with creating social video content, so we hope you’re comfortable and confident in front of the camera. Regardless of medium, with your journalistic eye for a story and keen interest in financial products, you’ll produce compelling content that goes beyond meeting KPIs.

Your Day-to-Day
- Attend media events and cover them on the site & social platforms
- Research, conceptualize, write, proofread, and edit online and offline content
- Ensure accuracy and quality of work, and be able to work independently
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm relevant content and coordinate its publication
- Ensure content complies with the RinggitPlus voice as well as publishing laws and regulations
- Assist the Marketing team with branding initiatives
- Mentor, oversee, and assist team members and their work
- Assist in other aspects of content creation, including video and social media

Your Know-How
- 5 years of experience in the field of media/journalism is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to independently write, edit, and proofread error-free content
- Possess a strong understanding of online content writing considerations from an SEO and social media perspective
- Comfortable in front of the camera, with experience in video production is a bonus
- Understands how to target key audiences and drive conversions through engaging copy
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience and familiarity with WordPress and Google Analytics is preferred
- Strong passion to continuously learn and improve on technological platforms and marketing strategy. A degree or experience in communications, journalism/media, or PR is an advantage
- Excellent teamwork skills
