**Position overview**:
Are you interested to become a competent Indirect Tax Team Lead by leading the new APAC dedicated indirect tax team to ensure the best practice in end-to-end indirect tax compliances, risk management as well as continuous improvement in Global Business Services? In this role, you will be leading APAC indirect tax compliance cycles by liaising with relevant stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:
- Create, staff, and lead the new APAC dedicated indirect tax team based in the Asian GBS location in PJ.
- Lead the change management and activity transfer of the Indirect Tax processes for over 10 Asia Pacific countries to the single GBS platform; ensure highly effective connectivity with the dependent processes (P2P, A2R, C2C, CS).
- Elevate the APAC Indirect tax processes to best practice by re-formatting, automating, documenting, and digitalizing said processes.
- Lead the indirect tax compliance cycles in APAC by liaising with all relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare indirect tax returns/reporting.
- Lead the return preparation and review based on best practices.
- Ensure corrections and continuous improvement to achieve the allnex tax integrity objectives at all times.
- Liaison with primary data owners outside finance team.
- Conduct research, fact-finding and prepare indirect tax advice for the relevant business stakeholders and act as a tax lead in the stakeholder management process.
- Ensure system maintenance and updates (tax coding, advice and participation in ERP system enhancements due to legislative changes etc.).
- Ensure strong alignment with allnex Indirect Tax Manager and other members of the global allnex tax team.
- Provide indirect tax training for the relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure indirect tax is correctly accounted for within the books of account and control accounts are fully reconciled.
- Verification and validation of tools used and bookings performed on a periodical basis.
- Proactively track all relevant changes in the APAC indirect tax rules and the allnex business model, perform impact analysis and make sure the appropriate changes are implemented within allnex.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and training for any new hires within the team.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement remediation plans in the indirect tax and other relevant processes.
- Lead the allnex indirect tax-related interface with auditors, tax authorities, and other relevant external stakeholders in the Asia Pacific.
**Required skills and experience**:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an indirect tax or equivalent role, preferentially gathered in an international or shared service environment with regional exposure.

- Specialized or Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of the Asian and global indirect tax framework requirements;
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel & Powerpoint), MS Communicator, Outlook. Experience with pivot tables is required in order to be able to work with mass data;
- Experience with ERP systems (knowledge of SAP will be considered an advantage);
- Accounting knowledge.
- Language
- Advanced oral and written English and Mandarin skills;
- One of the following other languages is an advantage: Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian. Japanese, Korean (optional).
