Cameron Highlands, Malaysia Hotel De'La Ferns Full time

We are seeking a skilled Demi Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The Demi Chef will work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef to assist in all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation are maintained.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation of a wide variety of dishes, following recipes and specifications provided by the Head Chef.
- Execute cooking tasks with precision and efficiency, including but not limited to chopping, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of customers and staff.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the Head Chef.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient workflow during service hours.
- Assist in menu development and contribute creative ideas for new dishes and specials.
- Uphold high standards of presentation for all dishes, paying close attention to detail.
- Follow instructions from the Head Chef and Sous Chef, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to learn.
- Contribute to a positive and professional work environment by demonstrating teamwork, respect, and effective communication.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience working as a Demi Chef or in a similar role within a professional kitchen environment.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institute is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to upholding high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

**Salary**: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Early shift
- Evening shift

**Education**:

- Diploma/Advanced Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Chef: 1 year (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Cameron Highlands (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Cameron Highlands: Relocate before starting work (required)
