P&C Actuarial Analyst

As a P&C actuarial analyst in ICT, you will work as part of a team on projects focused mainly on general insurance. You will be involved in a variety of projects including IFRS 17, pricing, statutory valuation, data science/analytics, capital management, merger and acquisitions etc for our clients across South East Asia. Many of the projects will involve using WTW’s market leading actuarial software and techniques to produce customised solutions for our clients.

**The Role**
- Data preparation, as well as producing and analysing the initial results. You will work closely with consultants and project managers across the region who will help you to increase your insurance knowledge and sharpen your actuarial skills, all while providing a blend of client-facing exposure as well.
- Working with consultants and project managers on a variety of insurance-related client projects which includes:

- IFRS 17
- Pricing, underwriting and product design
- Statutory reserving
- Data science and predictive analytics
- Merger and acquisitions
- Regulatory solvency
- Risk management and capital management
- Developing actuarial models using WTW’s market leading actuarial software and techniques to produce customised solutions for our clients
- Experienced associates will often begin to play an extended role in supporting the project manager on drafting project plan, managing assigned workstreams, and ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
- Deliver high-quality work in compliance with Excellence standards and proactively look to improve the process
- Manage time effectively across multiple concurrent assignments
- Support on research and Intellectual Property Development (IPD) work
- Build strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
- Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
- Deliver work in accordance to project deadlines and meet or exceed client expectations
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary consulting team to analyze issues and develop value-added solutions for the clients
- Contribute to sales activities by assisting on proposals, demos, presentations and pitches

**The Requirements**
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or any other related quantitative fields
- Pursuing actuarial exams from recognised International Actuarial Bodies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, especially in presentation and report writing
- Good time management skills, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently
- Self-driven achiever, and able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
- Understanding of IFRS 17, reserving and/or pricing is a plus
- Familiarity with WTW’s actuarial modelling software (eg. Emblem, Radar, ResQ, ResQ Financial Reporter) is a plus
