This role will have multiple interactions with cross functional teams including tax, treasury, corporate finance, corporate secretarial and project.- Location: Kuala Lumpur- Duties- Responsible for full set of accounts, timely production of monthly management and financial reports, including but not limited to monthly closing, accounts reconciliation, audit and fixed asset management.
- Prepare and verify general ledger (GL) related journals to ensure documents and approvals are in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure all transactions are complete and accurately updated into the accounting system on a timely basis.
- Assist in the full spectrum of financial reporting and management accounting.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and monthly reporting to consolidation team.
- Perform monthly analysis review and present to consolidation team.
- Follow-up closely with other departments on outstanding matters.
- Support the annual statutory audit process, i.e. preparation of audit schedules, preparation/review of audited financial statements and liaising with external auditors during interim and annual audit.
- Monitor actual performance and provide variance analysis against budget to management team.
- Assist in preparation of the accounting assessment and management paper.
- Support on any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by team.
- Qualifications and Skills- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent qualification, full professional qualification in Accountancy such as ACCA, CIMA, MACPA or equivalent is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of finance, account receivables and payables or audit experience from Big 4 accounting firm.
- Experience in IFS accounting system will be an advantage
- Computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A high degree of self-motivation, ambitious; a good team player with the ability to engage with cross-cultural teams and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Fluent verbal and written English is mandatory (other languages are an advantage).
