Gym Facility Chef

Position Overview:
As our Gym Facility Chef and Healthy Food Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing our members with delicious and nutritious meals that align with their fitness goals. You will oversee the bar and cook station, creating a menu that focuses on wholesome, balanced, and health-conscious options.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop a diverse and appealing menu of healthy dishes catering to various dietary preferences and fitness goals.
- Prepare and cook meals with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
- Manage the daily operations of the bar and cook station, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Collaborate with nutritionists and fitness experts to create meal plans that support members' fitness journeys.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of nutrition trends and incorporate them into the menu offerings.
- Monitor inventory, place orders for ingredients, and manage food costs effectively.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Train and oversee kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere by interacting with members and catering to their dietary needs.
- Continuously seek feedback from members and adjust the menu based on preferences and suggestions.
- Contribute to the gym's overall mission of promoting health and wellness through education and culinary excellence.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a health-conscious or fitness-related setting. Fresh grad student also welcome.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Strong knowledge of nutrition and the principles of creating balanced meals.
Ability to create innovative and appealing menu items that cater to diverse dietary requirements.
Excellent cooking and food presentation skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their wellness goals.
