**Job Scope**:

- To ensure smooth running of the Pharmacy Services.
- To ensure all policies and procedures (governing the pharmacy services) are adhered to and proper records is maintained.
- To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons.
- To cooperate with any other employee or any other person in the discharge of duty.
- To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.
- To ensure services are provided promptly to internal/ external customers in an efficient, ethical and professional manner.
- To supervise all subordinates and coordinate their activities.
- To participate in various committees if the need arises.
- To engage in Quality Improvement for the Department if the need arises.
- Licensed holder for the purchase of all medications (to sign purchase order in absence of Head of Pharmacist).
- To ensure proper procurement of drugs.
- To ascertain that all medications are stored and handled in accordance to specifications in hospital.
- To manage dangerous / psychotropic medications (recording purchase and distribution).
- To provide professional advice to the pharmacy staffs, prescribers, staff nurses and others (with regards to medications such as: chemical name, indication, dosage, side effects, special precaution, contraindication, medication interaction, storage etc).
- To supervise the pharmacy staffs on the preparation of extemporaneous products.
- To do medication counselling to patient if required.
- To prepare statistical report as required, in a timely manner.
- To adhere to all Acts, Laws, Rules and Regulation governing the pharmacy services at all the time.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Pharmacy or its equivalent qualification. Registered with Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.
- Minimum 2-5 years working experience, preferably in hospital pharmacy.
- Experience for CDR and Nuclear Medicine are required for this position.
- Good communication skills with ability to converse in English.
- Strong leadership skills, good interpersonal skills, customer oriented, dynamic and organized.
- Honest with pleasant personality.
- Computer literate.
- To establish and maintain regular communication and good relationship with all medical staffs, departmental heads, and other healthcare team members.
