**About Technology to Monitor Deforestation in Supply Chains**:
Efforts to reduce deforestation in supply chains have shown positive results, particularly in the palm oil sector. Tools like satellite monitoring and engagement with suppliers have played a key role. New regulations in the EU, China, and the USA will soon require companies to address deforestation risks. Earthworm Foundation’s Starling satellite monitoring platform has been instrumental in assessing deforestation risks in various commodities. Traceability and field verification are crucial, and collaboration with smallholders is important. Challenges remain in terms of transparency and monitoring, emphasizing the need for industry government cooperation.

**Your Role**:
As **Sustainability Data Analyst**, you will be primarily responsible for:

- _ Understand_ the data needs of the different internal teams
- _ Translate_ the needs into technical requirements
- _ Participate in the creation, implementation, review and improvement of _internal data processes, including data structure, handling, quality controls
- _ Participate in the creation of_ data solutions for new commodities, products, or services (internal and external).
- _ D_esign_ and implement different dashboards to better visualize the data and guide actions.
- _E_xplor_e_ new data driven solutions to challenges faced in data collection / management.
- _Support_ the different teams with analysis of data to enable data-driven decisions.
- _Participate in different data projects_ - some example of projects are: implementation of database, Starling platform continuous improvements, global processes reviews
- _ Manage relationships _with internal partners we work with, from other Earthworm Foundation teams

**Your Profile**:
Passionate about agriculture, social science, rural development, forestry and conservation you aim to leverage your knowledge, experience and appetite for technology to generate positive impact in these areas and address the global challenges of our time.

You have an analytical background and thrive in developing reliable tools to facilitate data management, ultimately enable clients take informed-decisions and gain visibility on their activities. Self-starter and autonomous, with genuine curiosity and willingness to learn from others you enjoy working with team members across countries and functions but also take initiative whenever an opportunity arises.

With excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding communication and a helpful, supportive mindset you naturally animate sessions with a variety of stakeholders to work on diverse and sometimes complex projects. At ease into a dynamic environment, you are not afraid to speak-up and ask questions to peers and superiors in order to bring high quality outputs. Thanks to your intense creative, “out-of-the-box” thinking you build user-friendly templates, tools, dashboards and high value presentations which makes you a great asset to the team.

Demonstrated Advanced Excel skills, including VBA, data visualization software like Tableau or Power BI and experience of Python and SQL would be a great plus to be successful in the role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Management or any other analytical domain (preferable)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Long Fixed-Term (12-24 months), on a full-time basis
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Office-based role in Kuala Lumpur office in Malaysia
- Citizenship or valid work authorization in the country
