Finance shared service arm for a multinational corporation, having factories and offices across many regions. With up-to-date innovation in products and services, this company is looking into expanding its GBS. A Pharma based corporation, having a growing market even during pandemic times.
- This role is part of Regional Controlling organization and is critical in ensuring compliance with US GAAP and regional/global reporting requirements.
- Support all aspects of Global GL close activities.
- The role requires understanding of complex accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills and strong collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams.
- Manage a team of Month End Close Accountants and Senior Accountants
- Support regional and global reporting requirements for all areas under Regional Controlling responsibility (e.g., monthly B/S and P&L Flux reviews).
- Review and support the Global GL team on the monthly/quarterly/annual close processes.
- Review Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Manual Journal Entries
- Support enhancement of financial processes, tools and templates and reporting activities for Regional Controlling.
- Leverage strong relationships with other finance and non-finance teams, as well as external providers, to maintain and update shared processes, tools, and reporting activities.
- Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls
- Lead & Support local, regional, and global projects, as required.
- Be an activate advocate of finance function.
- Lead & Drive Continuous process improvement, standardization and optimizations.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting, or other related courses
- At least 6 years of working experience in RTR/GL scopes within SSC environment.
- Possesses strong analytical, problem solving and inter-personal skills
- Possesses excellent attention to detail, self-starter, quick learner, independent and team player with ability to drive initiatives and change
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to read, write & speak other languages especially Chinese is an added advantage
