**The Opportunity**
Our partner, an Australian underwriting company with over 30 years of experience in specialized protection for residential investment properties, is looking for a **Customer Service Officer **to join the team in Kuala Lumpur
As the Customer Service Officer, you will be working collaboratively with and reporting to the Underwriting Team Leader. Your primary role will be to provide assistance in the Underwriting Team ensuring facilitation of quality service, compliance with standards set out in the General Insurance Code of Practice and conduct within the company SLA’s and behavioural guidelines.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Alterations to existing policies within your delegated authority.
- Cancellations ensuring once we are in receipt of all required information as per our guidelines.
- Checking/processing of Broker closings.
- Ensure clear and effective communication is developed and maintained with key stakeholders, ensuring the needs of our clients and colleagues are met.
- Perform sound risk assessments in accordance with the Underwriting Guidelines and within your delegated authority.
- Identify and act upon adverse moral factors or physical defects in risks.
- Continue to develop your knowledge and Underwriting ensuring adherence to internal processes and guidelines.
- At all times looking to eradicate/avoid complaints and breaches, but on identifying any complaints and breaches, escalating those immediately to the individual responsible within the organization for reporting.
**Skills, Experience & Qualifications**
- At least 2 years of Customer Service working experience.
- Excellent customer service skills, active listening, and verbal and written English Language communication skills.
- General understanding of the intermediate insurance industry.
- Good understanding of underwriting principles, insurance legislation, and current market trends.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- High organisational and time management skills.
