Ultrasonic Testing

NDT Technician will be responsible for performing all calibrations, non-destructive tests and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results. Level II Technicians are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of assistants and Level I Technicians. Level II Technicians organize and report results of NDT. '¢ Able to carry out Ultrasonic Testing and one of the other methods like MT, PT or PMI end etc. '¢ Effectively carry out his duties as Multi-Technician to his best capability. Able to perform and carry out the testing diligently. Look after all the equipment's and consumables to make sure no wastage. Finish the work in a timely manner in accordance with Company policy and quality. '¢ To plan, prepare, coordinate and establish a good communication with client. Able to work together with other personnel and maintains close relation with all the staff. '¢ Report to site supervisor immediately when the stock needs to be replenished or need additional spare parts. '¢ Be accountabilities to monitor the equipment and consumables utilization to keep it to the minimum wastage. '¢ Calibrate the equipment as per specific required sensitivity level and Evaluate the test results with respect to specific acceptance criteria. '¢ To produce report upon end of inspection and pass to Supervisor for record. '¢ Maintains familiarity with all the latest development of the technology. Able to work independently. Always suggest any good ideal to improve the technology. '¢ Always maintain all the NDT equipment in good working condition. Continuously update the equipment and spare stock lists. '¢ Performing periodical test to check the equipment linearity. '¢ Providing guidance to the trainees and junior operators.
