**Service Supervisor**

Summary:
The supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dining area within a restaurant. The role plays a key part in ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining a smooth dining experience, and managing front-of-house staff. The supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the dining room to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests as well as provide leadership and guidance to front-of-house staff, enforce policies, and handle escalated customer service issues.

Key responsibilities:

- **Staff Supervision**:
Supervise and coordinate the work of front-of-house staff. Assign duties, set work schedules, and provide training as needed. Ensure staff adhere to restaurant standards and policies.
- **Guest Service**:
Greet guests, ensure they are seated promptly, and address any special requests or concerns. Monitor service to ensure that guests receive exceptional and courteous service. Handle guest complaints or issues professionally and promptly. Assist guests in selecting menu items. Have an excellent knowledge of our menus and how items are prepared.
- **Shift Management**:
Oversee the smooth flow of the dining area during service hours. Monitor table turnover and reservations to optimize seating capacity. Ensure tables are set correctly, and dining areas are clean and well-maintained. Overall responsible for the smooth running of the service and expected to fill in any gaps in the service in the event that the team is short on staff.
- **Order Accuracy**:
Communicate guest orders accurately to the kitchen staff. Verify that orders are prepared correctly and served promptly. Address any issues with order accuracy.
- **Billing and Payments**:
Assist servers with billing and payment transactions as needed. Resolve billing discrepancies and rectify promptly.
- **Training and Development**:
Train new front-of-house staff members on procedures and service standards. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff to improve their performance.
- **Inventory Control**:
Monitor and manage inventory of dining supplies such as utensils, glassware, linens and take away packaging. Coordinate with management to order necessary supplies and equipment.
- **Health and Safety**:
Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including food safety and sanitation regulations set by the department of health and company policy.

Handle any emergency situations or accidents according to restaurant protocols.

Have an excellent knowledge of food allergens and restrictions (religious or otherwise), ensure all service staff receive appropriate training in this field and that all our guests are kept safe.
- **Cleanliness and Hygiene**:
Clean and set up all areas of the dining area before and during service time. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including server stations and beverage stations.

Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including hand washing and proper handling of utensils and glassware.
- **Customer Relations**:
Build and maintain positive relationships with regular customers. Collect and act upon customer feedback to improve service and satisfaction.
- **Product Expert**

Will serve as a product expert and endorser of product lives relevant to the outlet and will carry out research and product quality checks on said products. Serve as an ambassador of both retail and in-store products to ensure uptake and interest on said products.
- **Shift Reporting**:
Provide shift summaries and reports to management, including sales figures and customer feedback.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or hospitality-related education is a plus.
- Several years of experience in a guest facing position, including as a server or host/hostess.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Knowledge of restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
