Supervisor, Controllership

Overview:

- STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position)

Supervisor who responsible for reviewing financials submit by Asia Pacific countries for US consolidation. Ensure US GAAP reporting standards and corporate policies are followed by countries.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Interact with cross functional teams who are in different geographical locations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis and smooth daily operations.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: List the expectations for each job responsibility including quality and quantity standards to which the incumbent is required to perform and receive a rating for during the Performance Appraisal.
- Perform analytically review of monthly submissions from Asia Pacific countries for US consolidation.
- Support monthly closing process related to accounting including but not limited to the timely submission country Trial Balances, ensure accuracy of all month end reports, monitor for country completion of monthly reconciliations and account analysis, address day to day country level accounting issues.
- Ensure US GAAP reporting standards and corporate policies are followed
- Ensure countries adopt best accounting practices, operate efficient processes and comply to Corporate and Regional policies.
- Ensure countries have proper control in place
- Assist countries with preparation of SOX documentation, monitor country test activities and test results, recommend adequate controls where weak or deficient.
- Participate in various projects (such as system rollout, process improvement and standardization etc) as requested by the Regional and Corporate Controllership

Skills/Education/Experience:
**Skills**
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity.
- Ability to produce clear and concise documents, reports and procedure manuals.
- Ability to solve practical problems independently.
- Ability to analyze information, formulate conclusions and recommendations.

**Experience**
- At least 7 years accounting experience with working experience in international audit firm
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX.
- Experience working with teams located in different geographical location is preferred
- Knowledge and exposure of ERP system such as Oracle and One Stream is a bonus.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

**Education**
- Bachelor Degree holder in Accounting & Finance or equivalent qualification.
- Qualified accountant with ACCA or equivalent qualification.
