**Procurement**
The function of the department is to provide a professional procurement service for HSBC Bank Malaysia. This will cover all products and services that are sourced / procured from external suppliers. Will be actively involved with strategic sourcing and contract management.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our payments team in the role of **Procurement Commodity Manager.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Working with the Global Commodity Manager to develop and drive the long term commercial strategy of a specific commodity(ies) enabling HSBC to step change its savings delivery.
- Achieve annual savings as set in target for Commodity.
- Responsible for establishing, championing and delivering commodity targets that focus on cost, quality, service and innovation with the supply base.
- Exercise appropriate governance of Procurement policies and ensure standards are adhered to across Commodity team.
- To negotiate and implement terms and conditions of contract so as to assure maximum benefit, contractual protection and risk minimization for the Group;
- Responsibility for assisting in the delivery of a specific commodity strategy.
- Ensure seamless supply of goods and services to HSBC and other areas of the Group.
- Engaging and influencing at senior levels to support Commodity Strategies;
- To proactively direct all aspects of the supplier lifecycle through strategy, business engagement, tender, negotiation and contract management, ensuring the best interests of HSBC are served in managing HSBC and other areas of the Group’s Agreements.
- Awareness of risk in Commodity area and how to mitigate commercially, contractually and operationally including CSR and Banking relationships.
Requirements
- A degree holder who possess good verbal and written skills in English;
- 10 years of experience in procurement background ;
- Ability to understand and interpret numeric data;
- Attention to details;
- Basic computer knowledge.;
- Ability to multi task;
- Ability to build rapport with people
