**Job Title**: Sheet Metal Draughtsman

**Job Overview**:A Sheet Metal Draughtsman is responsible for producing accurate and detailed drawings for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal components. This role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that the designs meet specifications and industry standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Design Development**:Interpret and analyze project specifications, including engineering drawings and client requirements.
Develop detailed sheet metal designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

**Drafting and Documentation**:Create precise 2D and 3D drawings of sheet metal components, assemblies, and structures.
Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and other relevant documentation for fabrication and assembly processes.

**Material Selection**:Collaborate with engineering teams to select appropriate sheet metal materials based on project requirements and industry standards.
Ensure that material choices align with cost-effectiveness and project specifications.

**Quality Assurance**:Review and analyze designs to ensure they comply with industry codes, regulations, and quality standards.
Identify potential design issues and work collaboratively to resolve them.

**Collaboration**:Work closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and requirements.
Participate in design review meetings and incorporate feedback into the drawings.

**Cost Estimation**:Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for sheet metal fabrication and installation projects.
Collaborate with the estimating team to provide accurate material and labor requirements.

**Updates and Revisions**:Manage and update drawings to reflect any changes or revisions during the project lifecycle.
Keep abreast of industry advancements and integrate new technologies and techniques into design processes.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and industry standards.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations governing sheet metal design and fabrication.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Draughtsman or in a similar role is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication processes and equipment is an asset.

**Salary**: RM1,600.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
