Responsibility for overseeing various aspects of kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, organization, and compliance with food safety standards. Your role involves coordinating with kitchen staff, managing inventory, assisting with meal preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Food Preparation Assistance: Assist chefs and kitchen staff with meal preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies, including perishable and non-perishable items. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and track stock levels to prevent shortages or excesses.
- Order Coordination: Collaborate with kitchen managers to plan and schedule food orders based on menu requirements, customer demand, and inventory availability. Communicate effectively with suppliers to place orders, verify deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Kitchen Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area, including workstations, storage areas, and equipment. Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and food safety regulations to minimize risks of contamination or foodborne illnesses.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise kitchen assistants, dishwashers, and other support staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operation of kitchen activities. Provide guidance, training, and support to staff members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance technicians to schedule regular inspections and maintenance of kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, refrigerators, and dishwashers. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues for prompt resolution.
- Menu Planning Support: Assist chefs and kitchen managers in developing menus, selecting recipes, and determining portion sizes and food presentation. Contribute creative ideas and suggestions to enhance menu offerings and customer satisfaction.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and cleanliness protocols.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open communication channels with kitchen staff, management, and other departments to coordinate activities, address concerns, and resolve issues effectively. Foster a positive work environment based on teamwork, respect, and mutual support.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or hospitality management certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment, with knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, suppliers, and customers.

**Salary**: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
