**Job Title: Resident Ophthalmologist**

**Job Summary**:As a Resident Ophthalmologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care to patients, including diagnosing and treating various eye disorders and diseases. Your role involves patient evaluation, performing surgeries, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality eye care.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis**:Conduct thorough eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, refraction assessments, and the use of specialized ophthalmic equipment.
Evaluate and diagnose eye conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and other ocular diseases.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as visual field tests, OCT scans, and fundus examinations.

**Treatment Planning**:Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their diagnoses and medical history.
Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other therapeutic interventions.
Perform surgical procedures, such as cataract surgery, LASIK, and corneal transplantation, when necessary.

**Surgical Expertise**:Perform ophthalmic surgeries with precision and care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
Monitor post-surgical patients and manage any complications that may arise.

**Patient Care**:Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Provide patient education regarding eye conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Address patients' questions and concerns.

**Collaboration**:Collaborate with optometrists, opticians, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive eye care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex eye cases.

**Research and Continuous Learning**:Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in ophthalmology.
Engage in continuous medical education and professional development activities.

**Record Keeping**:Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
Ensure compliance with documentation standards and legal requirements.

**Quality Assurance**:Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and safety of ophthalmology services.
Adhere to infection control protocols.

**Qualifications**:

- Medical degree (MD or equivalent).
- Completion of a residency program in ophthalmology.
- Valid medical license and registration.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties and work flexible hours.

**Job Type**: Commission

Pay: From RM20,000.00 per month
