To be successful as a Restaurant Supervisor, you should exercise effective management skills and take necessary disciplinary actions to address poor staff performance. Ultimately, a top-performing Restaurant Supervisor should be able to achieve exceptional customer service and ensure that customers have a pleasant restaurant experience.
THE JOBSCOPE
- Coordinating the entire operation for smooth running of the restaurant and responsible for the business performance of the restaurant.
- Plan and organize sales & marketing activities such as promotional events and discount schemes.
- Prepare and analyze restaurant operational reports such sales, inventory, staff as per schedule.
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, health and safety.
- Control inventory stock levels and ordering suppliers with Head Chef.
- Ensure that all employees adhere to the company’s rules and regulations.
- Train, motivate, provide regular feedback to staff and when required discipline them.
- Oversee all front and back of the house restaurant operations
- Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent service; respond to customer complaints tactfully and professionally
- Maintain quality control for all food served
- Analyze staff evaluations and feedback to improve the customer’s experience
- Oversee health code compliance and sanitation standards
- Seek ways to cut waste and decrease operational costs without jeopardizing service delivery and customer experience.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and annual reports of outlet.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing training for all staff
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- At least one year experiences in the same position in hospitality industry
- Creative and passionate about food and customer service
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong working knowledge of food and beverage service
- Ability to use restaurant management software.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to assess food quality and presentation and ensure quality control
- Proficiency with office software
QUALIFICATIONS
High School or diploma; additional qualifications will be a plus
