a) Financial Responsibilities : - Able to control cost on usage of chemicals, guest amenities, water and electrical consumption - Maintain control on daily supply of guest room items, chemical and spot check on usage of items not to be wastage i) Guest Service - Checks and release rooms to make sure that guest have a good quality service - Do thoroughly checking on VIP rooms upon arrival - To constantly strive to please all guests that he may come into contact with - Attends guest complain if needed - To ensure that guest request be meet ii) Product - Conduct training on standards and procedures and any change - Daily inspects rooms to ensure cleanliness and well maintained rooms - To make sure that hotel policies and procedures are obeyed and followed by associates - Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel iii) General - To be guest and quality oriented - Report for duty punctually wearing uniform and maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times - To ensure all guest inquiries and/ or request are handled with efficient manner - To always smile readily at guest and colleagues - To be fully conversant with all of the facilities of the hotel and their operating hours - All telephone to be answered within 3 rings - Follows closely with the key standards as established for day and evening Room attendant - To ensure all occupied room is made up by 5.00 pm and to ensure all arrival rooms being cleaned by 3.00pm - To check and ensure all VIP rooms being cleaned before 12.00pm - To check and ensure show rooms are kept cleaned and well maintain at highest standard - To report any lost property report to Housekeeping Office - To ensure that trolley is neat, tidy and well stocked at all times To ensure pantry area is neat and tidy at all times - To attend any briefing/training as and when scheduled punctually - Complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s fire hygiene, health and safety regulations/policies - To maintain good rapport with other support department at all times - Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned - To ensure working area is clean and tidy at all time - To follow instruction given and/or to perform other duties as and when required - Must be prepared to work flexible hours in line with Hotels’ requirement - To do any other assignment as directed by superior iv) Marketing Responsibilities: - To make sure that fliers/brochures are there in the room for the guest to see - Fully understands the market needs of house guest and local market, assisting in the development of product lines and services accordingly - To be fully conversant with guest when they need info about hotels facilities v) Personnel and Training Responsibilities: - To ensure that all associates are fully conversant with the hotel facilities and services - Gives subordinate frequent feedback on their performance and status of development - Must be totally committed to training and shows concern about the training to be done weekly Xi) Administrative Responsibilities: - To be able to have guest history record is up-to-date at all times - To conduct meeting and training to associates - Must comfortable in the use of computer systems
