**Key Responsibilities**:
**Kitchen Operations**:

- Assist in planning and organizing daily kitchen activities.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Assume leadership in the absence of the Head Chef.

**Team Leadership**:

- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, providing guidance and support.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of kitchen team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

**Menu Development**:

- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, including specials and seasonal changes.
- Contribute creative ideas for new dishes, ensuring variety and innovation.
- Monitor and manage inventory for menu items, ensuring freshness and availability.

**Quality Control**:

- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Conduct regular taste tests and inspections to ensure consistency.
- Address any issues related to food quality promptly.

**Kitchen Organization**:

- Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and complies with sanitation regulations.
- Monitor and manage kitchen equipment, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.

**Collaboration with Other Departments**:

- Liaise with front-of-house staff to coordinate service and address customer feedback.
- Work closely with purchasing and receiving departments to manage inventory levels.

**Cost Control**:

- Assist in controlling food costs through portion control, waste reduction, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on budget planning and adherence.

**Qualifications**:

- Culinary degree or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and kitchen management.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Creativity and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
- Well converse in Mandarin and immediate joining will be an added advantages.

**Salary**: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
