Veterinary Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION:
1) Assisting veterinarians during consultation

2) Assisting veterinarians during treatment and surgery

3) Pharmaceutical and medication preparation based on veterinarian prescription

4) Preparation of animals for surgery, surgical instruments sterilisation and preparation, surgical table set up

5) Warded animal husbandry care and treatment

6) To maintain cleanliness and clean the clinic

7) Other work-related responsibilities as instructed by employer

8) Handling various species of animals - cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, hedgehogs, rodents and others

9) Animal grooming

10) Making sure medications and disposable are in stock and easy access for veterinarian usage

11) To restrain animals during radiograph (x-ray) and to be able to radiograph without veterinarians

SKILLS NEEDED:
1) Proper animal restraining skill

2) Basic pharmaceutical knowledge

3) Good communication skill

4) Excellent multitasking skill

5) Empathy/Good EQ / Good control of emotion 6) Execute instruction well and precise

7) Meticulous

8) Work as a team

9) Happy go lucky / good stress management 10) Radiography skills

REQUIREMENTS NEEDED:
1) Certificate or diploma or bachelor's in animal health or animal science

2) Good writing and spoken in English Language and Malay Language

3) No animal or dust allergy

4) No fear of animal

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
