Tax Agent

Responsibilities: Providing the services include but are not limited to the following: - Prepare tax computations, tax returns, and compliance with tax submission deadlines;
- Calculating and legally minimizing tax liabilities;
- Liaising with LHDN/ IRB and Customs and Excise departments;
- Provide support to the senior in providing tax consulting services;
- Handle the portfolio of tax clients, including corporate companies and individuals;
- Ensure tax compliance for corporate companies and individuals;
- Understand SST implementation and compliance;
- Assist in tax planning;
- Implement and improve the existing internal control of the tax department by periodic reviews;
- Provide evidential support for all report recommendations;
- Prepare adequate work papers;
- Remind and advise the clients on all tax matters;
- Supervision of junior staff - assisting with duties and questions as required;
- Other ad-hoc tasks. Requirements: - Possess at least a Diploma in Finance/Accounting/Auditing or equivalent OR a professional qualification under MICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent;
- Team player, meticulous, resourceful, able to multitask and work independently;
- Able to think out of the box, self-motivated, proactive, and with strong analytical qualities;
- Excellent client relationship skills and time management skills;
- High integrity and excellent work ethics, with a strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and discipline;
- Possess good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with a positive attitude;
- Willing to work in a cloud environment;
- Knowledge of cloud computing like Google App and mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets are advantages;
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to speak and write Mandarin will be an added advantage.
