After successfully securing a £45million investment to fuel our ongoing growth and to further invest in our AI products, we are hiring for an **IT Administrator** to join the team in Kuala Lumpur.

Joining the internal IT team, you (**IT Administrator**), will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's infrastructure in APAC region, providing technical support to internal users across the region, working on projects related to our Office365 IT infrastructure and assisting the team in various tasks.

**What you'll be up to - IT Administrator**:

- **Hardware **problem diagnosis and remediation: Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues, including in desktops, laptops, peripherals, and other devices. Perform remediation where possible (e.g. BIOS upgrades, driver re-installation) and replacements as needed to minimize downtime and maintain agreed SLA. All laptops come with a 3-year warranty upon purchase, so organising engineer visits will be required as well.
- **Laptop **Configuration**: Configure laptops based on provided guidelines and standards, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility within the existing IT infrastructure (note that Napier uses Microsoft Intune for laptop set-up)
- **Supporting IT Projects**: Work with the global IT team to assist with the implementation and roll-out of internal IT projects, primarily based on Office 365 and integrations to other Napier tools (e.g. SSO set-up)
- **Assisting with InfoSec/Malware issues**: Napier uses Microsoft Defender and other tools to scan endpoints. If problems are found, assist in resolution
- **Internet Connection Support**:Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining stable internet connectivity within the office. Collaborate with network administrators to resolve connectivity issues promptly.
- **Hardware Purchases**:Collaborate with Finance team to recommend and source hardware components, ensuring compatibility, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to organizational standards.
- **Hardware Deliveries Organizing**:Coordinate and manage the delivery, installation, and setup of hardware equipment, ensuring timely and efficient deployment to end-users.
- **Access Management**:Manage access control and security measures within the building, including granting and revoking permissions for physical and digital access as per established policies.
- **End-User Support**:Provide technical assistance to end-users, both remotely and on-site, resolving hardware-related inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and offering guidance in a clear and professional manner.
- **Documentation**:Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, repairs, and configurations. Update documentation for hardware-related procedures and solutions.

**Who you are**:

- Preferable to have a Degree in Computer Science, or a equivalent certification in IT field.
- Proven experience in laptop hardware troubleshooting, repairs, and configurations.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows/OS/X), hardware components, and peripherals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service and support to end-users.
- Basic understanding of network protocols and security measures.
- Experience with firewall configurations and access control is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with customer service ticketing systems.
