The Accounts Executive/accounts Assistant

This role will report to HR (Interim) to support the finance department in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. He/She covers duties such as work that is specific to **accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax filing, data compilation, billing, payroll or other accounting tasks**. He/She works specifically with **accruals, fixed assets accounting or the monthly and yearly finalisation of accounts for audit purposes**.
1. Assign account codes to all transactions in the accounting system.
**2. Calculate customer/supplier account balances and reconcile with totals.**
3. Compile the relevant business documentation used in banking processes.
**4. Enter accurate and timely data into the accounting system**
5. Maintain accurate financial records and statements.
**6. Perform month-end closing activities.**
7. Process payroll transactions into the organizations accounting system.
**8. Record and process all business transactions within the organizations accounting system using principles of double-entry accounting.**
9. Record transactions and events relating to sales, purchases, receivables, payable and cash.
**10. Retrieve system reports from the accounting system for managements use.**
11. Use relevant IT systems and tools effectively for data analysis.
**12. Preparation of Full Set Accounts**
13. Must be able to start work immediately
